Coaching is all about the youth (the coachee).
The coach doesn’t impose any expectations on the coachee. Instead, the coach's role is to ask questions, to facilitate the coachee’s self-awareness and self-discovery, which nurtures his/her self-confidence from within.
A series of 1-on-1 sessions, about once a month, in a neutral, conducive place. During these sessions, the coach will discuss with the youth the goal or issue that the youth wants to work on in 3 broad steps.
The youth gains clarity on why their goal matters and how it will benefit them.
The coach and youth will work out possible solutions and an action plan. The youth will commit to this, and seek support from their social network—be it family, friends or teachers.
The youth will take action, reflect, what worked and what didn't work, and discuss with the coach to learn from the experience, and try again until the goal is achieved.
Our coaches are trained and fully committed to putting the youth's needs first. The training is typically those accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) or equivalent.
