How We Operate

We build, not buy

Some software might seem affordable, but the subscription costs still add up over time. Plus, they may come with their own challenges, such as poor workspace integration. 

Hence, we try our best to build our own basic systems from scratch using free Google software, and automate where possible, with the help of volunteers and interns! As a result, we have very low overheads and are almost fully digital!

We teach ourselves how to do things from scratch

As a startup, we just don't need the full-service packages that vendors like to offer. 

We just strive to make do with what we have, and ask for help when needed. This way, it's sometimes slow and painful, but hey, once we figure it out, it's so much nimbler and faster!

We adopt an evidence-based approach

At the end of the day, we want to achieve social impact. ♥️

This requires us to do our homework whenever we start something new—by reviewing existing frameworks to design our own pre-post evaluation methodology, and developing a Theory of Change for our programmes!

And as a nonprofit, we're happy to share what we learn with others!
