If you're a current post-secondary student and have always wanted to do something new and fresh that contributes to the student community at your school, and also pick up skills that will benefit you for life, the Ride The Wave Youth Ambassador is a perfect leadership position for you!
What is this about?
In life, our mindset goes a long way in determining our success in whatever we choose to do.
We will always experience failure from time to time.
We can never get rid of uncertainty 100%.
And there will always be other who do better, who we may be envious of.
How we choose to respond to these situations makes a BIG difference.
Do we feel down when we fail, or do we see it as a stepping stone to success - a chance to grow and do better next time after learning from our mistakes?
Do we break out in anxiety in the face of an uncertain future, or do we embrace it with confidence, and focus on what we can control?
Do we feel stressed when we see others succeed, spend more time scrolling on social media, or do we celebrate their success, learn from them, and stay the path on our own progress?
JOIN US as a Youth Ambassador
Learn to embrace failure, uncertainty and social envy, and mari kita be the best version of ourselves!
And most importantly, spread the message to others. Real learning comes not just from our own doing, but from sharing what we know with others.
What are the requirements to be a Youth Ambassador?
Have a growth mindset! None of us are perfect, and we just need to be willing to learn!
Be a current post-secondary student, who will be on campus for at least the next semester (Oct 2025 - Mar 2026).
Preferably have some experience in leadership, organising events, and engaging peers one-on-one, but if not, see the first bullet point 2 lines above!
What do I have to do as a Youth Ambassador?
Take part whole-heartedly in a 1-day workshop on 19 Jul 2025, to gain the necessary experience and skillsets to empower confidence in your peers! Trust us - it'll be fun!
Thereafter, design and carry out 1 outreach event on campus (by 30 Nov 2025) to raise awareness of the Ride The Wave concepts of overcoming failure, uncertainty and social envy, with the goal of dispelling stigmas and encouraging healthy habits.
Engage your peers 1-on-1 if you see them going through a tough time (up till Mar 2026) - provide a listening ear and just be a friend!
You'll be given a cool budget and be supported in the above! In particular, you'll have a project team coach to guide you on the outreach event, and your very own personal leadership coach as you build up your leadership skills through your participation!
What's the 19 Jul workshop about?
When: Saturday, 19 Jul 2025, 9am - 5pm (Details will be sent you closer to the date!)

This workshop is just an intro / teaser - based on your feedback and popular demand, we'll be happy to work with coaches to organise more workshops for you if you want!
