Know your style, own your vibe.
Know your style, own your vibe.
Understanding our personal styles helps us become more aware of how we think, feel, communicate and interact with others. It gives us insights into why we respond to certain situations in particular ways, what energises us and what we may find challenging.
This self-awareness helps us make choices that work better for us, communicate more effectively and appreciate differences in others.
Important! Personality types are NOT labels. They don't define or limit us. And they're not cast in stone. They simply offer useful starting points for understanding ourselves and finding ways to grow.
DISC is a framework developed by psychologist William Moulton Marston that can help us understand ourselves better.
The DISC profile has 4 primary traits:
Dominance
Influence
Steadiness
Compliance
Each person has varying levels of these traits.
There’s no good or bad. DISC just indicates which of your trait(s) are stronger.
The DISC self-discovery tool is designed to measure and understand an individual’s behavioural preferences, tendencies, and communication styles. Through this profile, you can learn more about your strengths, communication preferences, decision-making styles and areas for motivation.
It’s not a test! There’s no right or wrong answer and there are no grades.
The tool serves as a reference. For example, it doesn’t indicate how good you are at sports, your sense of humour, what values you hold dear, or how intelligent you are.
You can:
Gain insight into your behavioural styles.
Increase your self-knowledge and possibly uncover some limiting beliefs.
Serve as a reference to help you develop strategies for personal breakthroughs.
Support you in enhancing your leadership skills, whether you’re a leader or aspiring to be one.
